Omo couldn't sleep that night after having that heart breaking discussion with her mum. She thought of her plans on furthering her education, how she could avert this decision. Oh,God I need your help, she cried out.

It was such a long night. Omo heard her mother lamenting. I've heard of different dilemma but this is worse, she said to herself. Just when she was about closing her eyes, she heard the first cock crow. She stood up, looked through the window and saw it was morning already. 

Tired, Omo opened the door, picked up her broom swept the house and the entire compound, prepared breakfast, then took her bath. Who is the wicked that man that wants to take me as a wife? Are there no better, more intelligent girls out there that befits his person? Why me? Why this much hatred from my uncle? Why does he want to ruin my life? What a world of shattered aspirations.

It was past 9:am already, no sign of anyone. Omo was happy. Maybe God has answered her prayers. Just when the smile was appearing, they heard voices. They peeped through the window to see who it was. Omo go to the room. Your uncle is here with your soon to be husband. Omo broke down in tears as Elo walked her to the room.

Omo's mother entertained her visitors. Without much ado, everything was finalized and Omo was bundled into the car amidst tears.
